Liz's work is concerned with the ocean, in particular the transitional point where sea and air meet - the air water interface.  This preoccupation grew from a childhood beside the sea in Dublin and continues to be informed by regular immersion in the Atlantic.  Proximity to the sea is key to her wellbeing.  Her imagery investigates and expresses the fundamental nature of this relationship.

 Purity, honesty of materials and the play of light are essential elements within the work.  Using a variety of media including paint, dye, video and photography Liz creates two-dimensional pieces, three-dimensional objects and moving paintings.

 Liz presents her work to prompt questions around human perceptions and awareness of all that is seen and unseen and to encourage reflection on our own individual impact and interactions with the natural world - in particular the ocean and bodies of water.  She recognises lakes, rivers and seas as Beings in and of themselves.  These works seek to ignite within us a sense of custodianship for all waters and our environment's delicate balance.
